Memory Box Flowers was launched in the summer of 2024 at Great Britain's National Funeral Exhibition.

Our founder Nick Sykes is a former NHS manager. After losing a close friend to pancreatic cancer on Christmas Day 2021, he decided to create a horticultural company which could help bring comfort and support to others through times of bereavement and grief.

Memory Box Flowers is now an award winning company, proud to supply natural and sustainable products. Our focus is on being kind to the environment, while at the same time establishing a new way to commemorate, celebrate and remember those we have lost.

Bereavement and grieving is a period in our lives that we all find hard to cope with, and difficult to talk about.

The concept of garden bulbs being given as a funeral gift in remembrance was born out of the cyclical seasons of nature. Each year nature’s flowers bring colour, happy memories, and calm.

Flowers of Remembrance

Memory Box Flowers are gifts given to the guests after a funeral service. Each elegant box is designed to incorporate the favourite colour flower of the loved one who has passed away.

After the funeral service, every guest takes a Memory Box home and plants the bulbs in a sunny corner of their garden, or perhaps outdoors in a plant pot. Creating a living memorial for a loved one is a wonderful tribute, as well as a beautiful healing place for quiet contemplation and remembrance.

When the flowers bloom every year, they bring new life, joyful colour, and happy memories. Planting new bulbs are a personal way of commemorating someone special. These annual flowers let people know they are forever remembered, loved and missed.
